Napoli has one foot in the last eight of the UEFA Champions League after beating Eintracht Frankfurt 2-0 in round of 16 first leg on Tuesday.
The Partenopei dominated the game in Germany, with Victor Osimhen and Giovanni Di Lorenzo scoring the goals.
Napoli started brightly and should have had the lead much earlier when Osimhen won a penalty off Aurelio Buta, but Kevin Trapp saved the kick taken by Kvicha Kvaratskhelia.
The deadlock was broken soon after, as Stanislav Lobotka played a pass to Hirving Lozano down the right, and the Mexican rolled it across for Osimhen to tap in from four yards.
Napoli scored a practically identical goal moments later, but this time Osimhen started the run just too early and was offside on the Lozano assist.
The Nigerian become the first Napoli player to scored in eight straight games.
He was later substituted after Napoli coach Luciano Spalletti saw him doing some stretching exercises, but that the Nigerian striker wanted to carry on and was irritated at being replaced.
The hosts were then reduced to 10 men after the referee issues a straight red card to French forward Kolo Muani. The striker went in late and caught Andre Frank Zambo Anguissa on the ankle.
The Serie A leaders took full advantage and increased their lead moment later with a beautifully-worked goal. Kvaratskhelia back-heeled a ball to his captain Giovanni Di Lorenzo and the Italian bended it first-time into the far bottom corner from just inside the box.
