Coach Austin Eguavoen has not banished the the ghost the pains and agony of Super Eagles losing out to Ghana during Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifiers.
Eguavoen, in a chat with brila.net, said he couldn’t stand watching the ongoing FIFA World Cup, due to the pain of missing out.
“I failed to take Nigeria to the world tournament, when I had the opportunity to; I was trusted with the responsibility. For this reason, I have only been able to watch very little of the games as it makes me even sadder.”
“Well, as head of the technical department, I will just have to start planning now and make sure that Nigeria gets to the next.” Eguavoen said.
Recall the Super Eagles missed out on ticket to Qatar on away goal rule after playing 1-1 with Black Stars in the second leg play off round in Abuja.
The first leg at the Baba Yara stadium in ended without a goal.
